This clamp provides more friction than the competition's by increasing the surface area that comes into contact with your damper rod. 
The elastic plastic material rather than aluminum allows for the clamp to take damage before your expensive damper rod or cartridge does. 
 
Each size can also be used for 1mm larger diameter
