These springs for the 1st 10mm of squeeze rate approximately 12% lower than rated. If you install your spring with 10mm of preload your spring will be as rated, this gives you the option of removing any spacer washers from the spring to soften the beginning of your suspension stroke.

I recently order new fork & rear spring for my '23 290 SAR. It's a much need improvement. My front end was always diving with the slightest bumps and bottoming out under hard braking or big offroad hits. The ride is a big improvement now that I'm not sitting half way through my suspensions range of travel and I don't have to have my rear compression turned in 20 turns. I'm sitting right at 5 turns for my proper sag.
